Why yards buy pairs
An N+1 or dual-feed interconnect yard keeps a campus energized through a transformer outage, planned or not. The second tank is insurance priced in copper and steel, and for a data-center campus the outage math usually justifies it. The package exists so both tanks are specified, bid, and evidenced as one coherent purchase instead of two drifting ones.
Matched %Z across two factories
The package spec states one impedance band both tanks must hit. When both units come from one OEM this is routine. When the yard dual-sources across two OEMs, the band plus its tolerance becomes the central spec line, and FAT test reports are the proof. A pair outside the band load-shares badly and gives back the redundancy the yard paid for.
Staggered delivery and separate evidence
Two tanks rarely ship together. Plan the haul, receive crew, and energization sequence for staggered arrivals, and close FAT, transport records, and verified receive per serial. Deposit and progress-payment interest, when flagged, is reviewed against each serial by a licensed working-capital partner. A package discount claim is not part of this listing, and neither is a guaranteed pair delivery date.
